About Team FnX (aka FUKT Clan)

Team FnX is a community of gamers whose mission is to dominate the amateur gaming ladders. Established in 2002, FnX continues to grow from its founding four members, and have consistently made their presence felt both on and off the battlefield. If you are interested in joining us, or just want to see more information on what it takes to be a member of FnX, you can find more details here.

The History
In November 2002, a demo for the highly anticipated third installment in the Rainbow Six series of PC games (Ravenshield) hit the World Wide Web. It didn't take long for the game to take off among tactical first person shooter fans, but ultimately, it caught the attention of four friends who had been recreationally gaming together for years. Initially playing for fun, it only took 4 months for SitKill, FreeKill, MightKill, and FlukeKill to make things official...

It is these four, who would eventually form the FUKT Clan and enroll in Ravenshield competition at the TeamWarfare League. As a team, they would test the competitive waters but soon realized they needed a larger member base in order to really stay competitive amongst the larger teams on the ladders.

Along came the first three FUKT recruits, Soulunder, RedRum, and Puck. All three were avid visitors of our server, and each added some needed depth to the FUKT roster. Armed with a new, stronger roster of gamers, FUKT was able to compete and win our matches in all of the ladders we enrolled. This generated some buzz for our team, and eventually opened the doors that let us grow even more.

Enter Evilone, Bloodriot, Jerk, and Wolf. These four new members joined the team at various stages over the following 6 months. In fact, FUKT almost missed out on Evilone, somehow missing his application a half dozen times before finally asking him to become a recruit. Each member added their unique skill to the collective and each one was a highly skilled enhancement to the FUKT roster. As a team FUKT became even better and wins started to become a regular occurrence.

Soon after, several new members joined the team by proxy. First, Draconix was a recruit, who was a good member, but really didn't have time to play. Instead, his friend/roommate started taking his place and joining us on a regular basis under the name Geee. Eventually, the Draconix would all but fade away, but the Geee would permanently take his place as a member of the FUKT squad.

When R@bbit joined us, it was as a mercenary since he already had a team, but it did’t compete in Ravenshield. He joined our roster for Ravenshield competition and eventually joined FUKT as a full member, sticking around for the duration of our Ravenshield competition and still remains a member to this date.

Not long after Geee and R@bbit joined FUKT, Viral joined the squad and quickly became a full member of our roster. He was a solid player who had spent a lot of time on our server, and immediately helped us in winning our competitions.

During our last year or so of Ravenshield competition, FUKT added a few members who were long time friends of the team. Bacardi, Alpha, and GQ were all members of the team A4D, who FUKT had competed against and practiced with for more than two years. These members were welcomed into our roster as longtime friends of the team, and would go on to make great additions to our roster.

In the end, FUKT would eventually lose Viral to greener pastures and would lose Redrum as a result of conflict over future direction of the team. Even with the loss of both these longtime players, FUKT emerged stronger than ever and eventually went on to record their biggest victories without either member.

It was then, that after three years of competition, FUKT finally stepped down from the game that they were assembled to play. Upon retirement, FUKT could boast more than 300 competitive matches, holding first place on a Teamwarfare ladder more than 18 times, and taking first place in the second season of the TeamWarfare league after placing 3rd in the first season. FUKT was also honored to be a part of the MacDaddy Memorial Tournament in which hundreds of competitors came together to honor the memory of a fallen brother and raise money for his family. It was these accomplishments that solidified us as a real competitor in amateur gaming.

The Name Change
After our retirement from Ravenshield, we made the difficult decision to change our name from the one we had used for so many years before. While FUKT was a name we all loved, it was a name that hindered us as a team. Although we managed to win several major competitions at TeamWarfare, our wins were substantially downplayed when compared to similar victories by other teams. We felt this was a direct result of our name and we decided that while we waited for a new game to play, we would consider a name change as well. As a result, Team FnX was born and while FUKT will never be forgotten, FnX will be the name that takes us into the future.

The Now
As we anxiously anticipate the release of a new game with which to compete, our members continue to play a wide variety of games including World of Warcraft, FEAR, Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, and Rainbow Six Lockdown. All of our founding members remain a part of FnX, as well as almost every new member who helped make us who we are today.

The Future
We are currently anticipating the release of two major titles due out this year (2006). The first is Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the PC. This game, thus far, has the best potential to be a tactical shooter worthy of competition. If the game is done well, this may very well be the one that brings FnX back into active competition.

The second game is World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the first expansion to World of Warcraft. Having played the original for well over a year now, many of our members are looking forward to the new content and game play options this expansion is sure to bring about.

The Recruits
While we have not competed in well over a year now, we have still managed to find several new recruits who have huge potential for full membership in FnX. Slimslack has been with us for over a year now, although real life obligations have kept him from playing as often as he probably might have otherwise. Slim is a good player with tons of potential and would make a solid addition to the FnX roster. Axea is a member we picked up playing World of Warcraft. While not exactly a First Person Shooter player, her dedication and commitment to WoW and FnX will make her a huge asset to the FnX roster. Finally Trippen, a veteran FPS player and oldschool Ravenshield combatant, found his way to FnX while we were fully entrenched in World of Warcraft. Trippen will make a good addition to the team, and we are happy to have him on board.
